A fatal fire in Biloxi is now a homicide investigation.

Authorities say the fire that burned 38-year-old Michelle Craite’s Biloxi home Tuesday may have been set to cover up her murder. An autopsy reveals Craite died from a stab wound to her chest.

Assistant Fire Chief Kirk Noffsinger says Craite’s body was found in the master bedroom.

Police say they are trying to locate another person who lived in the home with Craite, but authorities did not identify that person or provide details about any possible suspects.
