State Auditor Stacey Pickering has announced the arrest of Alesa Warner, a former employee of the Town of Marion, on charges of embezzlement.

The 30-year-old Warner of Lauderdale County was arrested Monday by agents with the State Auditor’s Office and the Town of Marion Police Department. Warner was an employee of the town of Marion from Dec. 1, 2007-Feb. 14, 2008. Pickering says the embezzlement was a $921.27 check issued to Warner.

Warner’s bond was set at $5,000.
