Brookhaven hospital boasts reduced waiting time

A Brookhaven hospital says new technology and techniques have cut the waiting time for patients in the emergency room by almost half.

King’s Daughters Medical Center Chief Nursing Officer Merlene Myrick said the emergency department’s new gear has reduced patients’ length of stay from 220 minutes, recorded during the first week of February, to 118 minutes, recorded throughout June.
