Wildlife officers catch black bear

A black bear that had roamed DeSoto County for several days has been caught.
A veterinarian on Saturday tranquilized a female black bear weighing around 165 pounds and measuring some 5 feet tall if on its hind legs.
The bear was found on the property of Leslea Brant in Nesbit.
The bear first was spotted in Horn Lake more than one week ago. Sightings continued for several days.
Wildlife officials say the bear will be relocated to a state wildlife management area in the Delta. They say the bear originated in Arkansas and previously was captured in Washington County, then tagged and released in the Delta.
Officials say the bear keeps moving because shes trying to find familiar land and settle down.
