Cliff Hodge, of Jackson, will serve as chairman of a securities law study committee being created by Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann.
The committee is part of a study group created by Hosemann to look at business reform in Mississippi.
A news release says committee members will study ways to assist the Legislature “in striking a delicate balance between investor protection and the preservation of business interests.”
Mercer Bullard, of Oxford, and Celie Edwards, of Jackson, will serve as co-chairs of the 26-member committee.
