Shooting victim dies; 2 face murder charges

VICKSBURG (AP) — A 26-year-old Vicksburg man shot several times outside his home two weeks ago died during surgery in Jackson. Police say charges against the pair accused in the shooting will be upgraded to murder.

David Becker died Sunday at University Medical Center after he had been listed in critical condition at the hospital since June 8, when he was shot in the chest, arm and both legs while standing on his front porch.

Police say 27-year-old Eric Campbell and 22-year-old Antonio Glasper surrendered after learning police were looking for them.

Charges against Campbell and Glasper were upgraded Monday to murder.

Glasper remains in custody, while police search for Campbell, who had been released from the jail after posting a $95,000 bond.
