FLAG DAY — The Pearl River County Welcome Center held a Flag Day Celebration on Friday to honor the nation’s flag. Members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans raised the flag. After the flag raising, District I Supervisor Anthony Hales sang “The Star Spangled Banner.” SCV member Russell Foster, left, tells the audience that when that song was written, the flag had 15 stripes and stars.
