A new report lists Mississippi’s community college system among the top four in the nation.
Mississippi is ranked with Iowa, New Mexico, and North Carolina in the report from the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government. The study was published this week in the Chronicle of Higher Education. It ranked systems across the country on five categories that included the five-year growth rate in enrollment, and the rate in which community college enrollment is outpacing that of public four-year universities.
The report said the four states were ahead of the national average in all five categories.
