Inmate escapes from work detail near Petal

Authorities have recaptured a 26-year-old Forrest County Work Center inmate who escaped from a work detail in the Barrontown community near Petal.
Marcus Taylor was arrested around 12:45 a.m. Friday by Petal police.
Taylor was serving a 54-month sentence for grand larceny in Tate County. He walked away from a work detail Thursday.
He now faces a sentence of up to five years for escaping.
