Crime Stoppers looking for suspect

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department needs your help to solve suspected rape incident in the Pine Grove Community.

The incident took place July 23, 2007. At about 11 a.m. the Sheriff’s Department received a call in reference to a home invasion, burglary and rape.

Investigator Christa Groom states the juvenile victim stated she did not know the suspect, but described the man as 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds, wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap with a flat bill and the letters “NY” on the front. The suspect was also described as having a gap between his front teeth with no other description.

Witness reportedly saw a white Blazer or Jimmy like vehicle parked at the residence at the time of the incident. It could be a small white pickup or a white “SUV” Groom said.

Undisclosed items were taken in the burglary.
