Ovations for “Natalie” at POS

The cast and crew of “Natalie Needs a Nightie” took their final curtain call as the play ended its successful run on Sunday at Picayune on Stage.

The ending was bittersweet for all involved in the production. While relieved all the hard work was over, and had paid off, everyone will clearly miss the friendships made and fun that was had over the course of the run.

The very talented cast, with a lot of first-timers, included Tim Alt, Braun Smith, Ben Poolson, Ron Dearmin, Ashley Duggan-Smith, Toni Tucker, Ashley Taylor, and Tommy Livengood. The play was directed by Donna Aguilard and Rachel Hey, assistant director.

The show was well received by audience members throughout the run. The cast and crew did an excellent job of delivering this situation comedy to its audience and keeping the well-worn themes fresh and entertaining.

The final order of business for this production was the raffling off of a set piece. The winner was cast member Tim Alt.

The theatre’s next production will be “Over the River and Through the Woods”. There is a special showing at the Hide-A-Way Lake Lodge on Saturday, March 29. All other performances will take place at the company’s theatre on Canal St, beginning on Friday, April 4, 2008.
