Duncan McKenzie, former regional vice president for Isle of Capri, took over Monday as the new president and general manager of the Hard Rock Casino Biloxi.
McKenzie replaced Joe Billhimer, who decided not to renew his contract.
McKenzie and Billhimer worked together in the past when McKenzie was president of Grand Casino Biloxi and Billhimer was executive vice president and general manager of Grand Casino Gulfport.
McKenzie left the Grand Casino Biloxi when Harrah’s acquired the property in 2005. He resigned from his position at the Isle of Capri last week.
“I am pleased that I have been selected to take charge at this time, and I am ready to help take Hard Rock Biloxi to the next level, McKenzie said. “All of the pieces for success going forward are now in place. The property looks great, the staff is second to none, and the service levels are outstanding.”
