A 16-year-old faces charges, including simple assault of a police officer and inciting a riot, following brawl at a Hattiesburg gas station.
Ebony Clark, of Hattiesburg, was also charged with resisting arrest and disturbance of a business.
The charges stem from a fight involving at least 30 people that broke out at a Jr. Food Mart in Hattiesburg on Tuesday night. At least four individuals, including two minors, were arrested following the incident, said police Lt. Tim Jackson.
Jackson said Charles N. Bolton, 23, of Hattiesburg, was arrested on charges of simple assault of a police officer and resisting arrest; and Johnny L. Norris, 38, of Beaumont, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Information on the charges against the second minor in the case were not available.
There were no injuries in the incident. Jackson said a baseball bat, a hammer, knives and vehicles were used to damage two cars. At one point one sedan rammed into the other, he said.
Jackson said the ruckus stemmed from a couple, involved in the fight, who had broken up three months ago. The situation escalated as the fighting couple was joined by friends and other individuals.
