REPLANT MISSISSIPPI — The Replant Mississippi effort provided a number of residents with young trees in order to help replace trees lost during Hurricane Katrina. Applicants were provided a list of trees to pick from and if approved were able to pick the trees up Saturday at the Crosby Arboretum. Another application process is underway where applications can be acquired from Julia Anderson at the Planning and Development office in Poplarville. Applications can be mailed back to Anderson for faster processing via the address provided on the form. Saturday about 500 of the 600 total trees were provided to good homes.
