The first of a series of five meetings to gather public opinion concerning the city of Picayune entering into an agreement with the Pearl River County Utility Authority for a new $23 million waste water treatment plant will be held today at 6 p.m.

District 4 Councilman Leavern Guy will host the meeting and any residents in that or any other district are urged to attend to comments and help the city gather information. All five meetings will be held in the council chambers at city hall.
