Jack Caney “J.C.” Phelps, 85, of Baxley, Ga., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in Baxley.

Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Burial is in the church cemetery under the direction of Swain Funeral Home of Baxley.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the funeral home and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the church.
