2 arrested in Jackson in connection to Nashville killing

Two people were arrested in Jackson Thursday in connection with a Tennessee slaying.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force found Robert Earl Williams, also known as Shadeed I. Rasta, and Stephanie Lynn Hudson at 5:30 p.m. Thursday inside a Jackson home. They were arrested without incident.

The two will be extradited back to Nashville, authorities said.

Williams and Hudson are accused in the stabbing of Jerry McEwen when McEwen tried to intervene during a purse snatching at a supermarket in Nashville.

McEwen died later at a hospital.
