Two men have been arrested on DUI-death charges in separate fatal accidents in DeSoto County.

Chief Deputy Steve Atkinson said Jeffrey Beacham of Horn Lake was arrested Wednesday after being indicted for the death of an elderly woman in a traffic crash March 27 in front of Horn Lake High School.

Police said his pickup hit a vehicle driven by Freda Lovelace, 77, of Nesbit. She was taken to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis, where she died.

Atkinson said Larry Setzer of Olive Branch was arrested Wednesday after being indicted on two counts of DUI-death and two counts of DUI-injury in connection with a crash April 17 in Southaven.

Atkinson said Zachary Lannom, 15, and Jacob Lannom, 12, both of Southaven, were killed in the crash while their mother, Glynes Lannom and another passenger in her car, Phil Bieslin of Nesbit, were injured.

Police said Glynes Lannom had stopped for the red light when Setzer’s truck collided with her car, killing the two boys and knocking the car across the intersection where it struck another vehicle.
