Fall back is pushed back

Daylight Saving Time clock adjustments have been pushed back by a week to weekend.one hour on the first Sunday of November and forward on the second Sunday of March.

Daylight Saving Time is part of an effort to conserve energy, according to http://www.energy.ca.gov/daylightsaving.html#chart. A large percentage of electricity is used during the evening hours when family members are home. Adjusting the clocks by one hour in either direction according to season reduces the amount of electricity families use, the site states.

This Sunday at 2 a.m. clocks should fall back one hour to adjust for Daylight Saving Time. Clocks are adjusted for Daylight Saving Time at 2 a.m. to avoid businesses operating hour disruptions, according to http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/b.html.
