Barkley out at Hancock

Hancock head football coach Brian Barkley was relieved of his duties Wednesday, according to a press release by school officials.

Barkley had just completed his second year at the helm of the Hawks, losing to Harrison Central 22-8 last week.

Hancock went 0-21 under Barkley, including 0-10 this season. Hancock has lost a school record 33 straight games and has dropped 43 of its last 44.

Barkley was a long time assistant at Gulfport before replacing Walt Esslinger at the helm of the Hawks.
