This accident on Interstate 59 Wednesday afternoon took the life of a Picayune resident, Larry Pearson, 63, of 525 River Road. The accident occurred at about 1 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the road and impacted a tree in the median. Pearson was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries, said Mississippi Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Sgt. Joe Gazzo.
