Mississippi reports 15 new cases of West Nile virus

The state Health Department is reporting 15 new cases of West Nile virus in Mississippi.
That brings the total of human cases this year to 59.
The Health Department said Monday there are three new cases of the mosquito-borne illness in Madison County, two in Leflore County and one each in Copiah, Hinds, Lamar, Neshoba, Pearl River, Rankin, Warren, Washington, Wayne and Yazoo counties.
Symptoms of West Nile virus might include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, a rash, muscle weakness or swollen lymph nodes.
