There was a false alarm at Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuits on Memorial Boulevard on Saturday afternoon.

A call went out over the scanner Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. stating that a silent holdup alarm had been set off at Popeye’s. A call to the Picayune Police Department about the incident resulted in the information that the power outage on Memorial Boulevard was resulting in several alarms being set off.

A call to Deputy Chief David Ervin to confirm the information had not been returned at press time.
