Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says the badly decomposed body of a man has been found in the Mississippi Sound about five miles south of the Coast Coliseum.

The call was received about 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Hargrove told WLOX-TV that the body had been in the water for at least several days. There was no identification on the body, and no one has been reported missing from a boat in the past two weeks.

Hargrove says the man was wearing navy blue pants and no shirt. An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.
