On Friday at approximately 4:30 a.m. Picayune Police Narcotics Detective Sergeant Jeremy Magri briefed the round up teams in reference to the suspects wanted in Operation Summer Storm. The teams, which consisted of Patrol Officers and Criminal Investigators of the Picayune Police Department, received the warrants, descriptions and addresses of the alleged drug offenders before hitting the streets to apprehend them. Undercover officers and agents of the department began this operation approximately three months ago by allegedly purchasing the illegal drugs from suspects in Picayune.

Suspects charged as a result of the investigation were Derrick V. Robinson, 22, 1516 Grady Ave.; Timmy Lashaun McDonald, 23, 1631 Bender St.; Lisa Sofstall, 33, 514 E. Second St.; Iddo Magee, 51, 931 Martin Luther King Blvd.; Clint Michael Dysart, 20, 52 Lavell Johnson Rd.; Erica B. Jarrell, 17, 46 Pops Ridge, Carriere; Sean Caleb Davis, 19, 175 Arborgate Circle Apt. G; Don Russell Lewis, 47, 823 Herrin Dr.; Kenneth Hugh Knight, 42, 615 N. Buren Ave.; Alonzo Pugh, Sr., 47, 610 Fifth St. and Christopher T. Chavers, 18, 712 Simmons St., all for one count sale of controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school or church. Also charged were Brandon Nixon, 20, 2320 Cousin St., for two counts sale of controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school or church and Robert E. Jefferson, 41, 1107 Rosa St., for three counts sale of controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school or church.

“This is another of the many continuing efforts to eliminate the drug traffic within the City of Picayune,” stated Chief Jim Luke in a press release. “I’ll say it again, drug dealers you have three choices, get out of the business, get out of town, or go to jail, because we are coming after you,” said Chief Luke.
