Lamont Johnson Sr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church for Mr. Lamont Johnson Sr., 69, of Dallas, Texas, who died Friday, June 8, 2007 in Dallas.
The Rev. Delbert Hall will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, Mr. Johnson was a School Teacher for three years at Liddell High School in Fayette, Miss. He served 29 years at Carroll Company as a supervisor and lab technician. He was the owner of his own Janitorial Service and a Carver High School Football player.
Survivors include: his mother, Ophia Lee Johnson of Picayune; his wife, Maycene Sigler of St. Augustine Texas; two sons, Lamont Johnson of Lancaster, Texas; and Gary Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one daughter, Angela Collie of Desoto, Texas; two brothers, Mr. Alonzo Johnson of Picayune, and Mr. Williard Johnson of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Mattie Dees of Jackson, Helen Wilkerson of Houston, Texas; and Bobbie Magee of Picayune; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2007, 10-11 a.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.
Baylous Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
