An Ocean Springs man and his two adult sons have been arrested on drug charges after the two sons were allegedly found in possession of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine and marijuana, police said.
Labarron Ennis Wallace, 50, and his sons, Joshua Andrew Wallace, 28, and Haratio L. Powe, 34, are now facing multiple felony drug charges, authorities said.
They are also facing other charges already pending. All of the men have been arrested or convicted on drug charges in the past, according to Curtis Spiers, commander of the Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County.
The most recent arrests came last week shortly after agents stopped a GMC Yukon that Powe was driving, with the younger Wallace in the passenger seat.
In the vehicle, Spiers said, agents found a quarter-kilo of cocaine and several ounces of marijuana.
Agents then searched the older Wallace’s home on Lafayette Drive, arresting the him and seizing various items authorities believe were purchased with drug-money.
Labarron Wallace and Joshua Wallace were charged with one count each of possession with intent to sell cocaine, possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession with intent to sell the prescription narcotic hydrocodone, all within 1,500 feet of a school, in this case Pecan Park Elementary in Ocean Springs.
At the time of their arrests, Spiers said, both father and son were out of jail on bond for felony drug-possession charges from August 2006.
Powe was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, all within 1,500 feet of a school.
