My name is Shane Whitfield and I want to take this opportunity to announce that I want to serve as your next Supervisor of Beat IV, and earnestly solicit your support throughout my campaign.

I have been a general contractor for 27 years and am presently serving as Chief Building Inspector for the City of Picayune. I can be a big help by bringing back some common sense and compassion to the building and development codes in Pearl River County. I will work hard to bring an office to the south end of the county where every citizen will be treated with respect and courtesy.

I am married to the former Patricie Sheffield of Houston, Texas. We are proud parents of four sons: Shane and his wife Ellen Whitfield, Brad and his wife Delilah Whitfield, Troy and his wife Kristy Whitfield, and Tracy and his wife Shona Whitfield. My parents were the late Fritz and Louvinia Bounds Whitfield. I was born in the Salem community of Pearl River County.

Since Hurricane Katrina, I’ve worked closely with FEMA and MEMA to help our citizens through this stressful time. I need your vote and support so we may bring our county back to a way of dealing with codes and permits in a responsible manner.
