Brandon Scott Kisor, 19, of Pontotoc, was arrested and released on $15,000 bond Tuesday in connection with the accident on Highway 278. A female passenger from Madison was ejected from the car, said Oxford Assistant Police Chief Mike Martin.

The accident occurred on March 6 at 10 p.m. after the two students drank beer at an Ole Miss baseball game, police say. Authorities also discovered a beer cooler at the scene, according to www.clarionledger.com.

The female student, whose name is not being released because she is a minor, was once listed in critical condition but has since been released, Martin said. Kisor was briefly treated and released from a local hospital.
