Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Staff Sgt. Jerry Clark Burge, Jr., 39, of Picayune, who passed away April 4, 2007 in Iraq.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.

The Rev. Glen Kennedy will officiate at the service, and will be assisted by the Rev. Orin Spence.

A native of Baldwin, Fla., he was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and a member of the Cedar Hill House of Prayer.

Survivors include: his father, Jerry Clark Burge, Sr. of Japan; his mother, Catherine Burge of Newport, N.C.; two sons, Corey Marchetta of Nicholson and Tristan Lee Burge of Carriere; one daughter, Trinity Meghan Rose Burge of Carriere; one sister, Michelle Lynn Isler of Wilmer, Ala.; aunt and uncle, the Rev. Glen and Bobbie Kennedy of Carriere; and his cousin, Timothy Kennedy, who he regarded as a brother.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
