Recent PMHS NJROTC recent notable events

The United States Air Force visited the Picayune NJROTC unit to demonstrate the k-9 opportunities available in the Air Force. The show included a demonstration of the K-9’s ability to attack and follow commands. The cadets were also shown the dogs’ ability to search for explosives. (Picture a)

Picayune NJROTC competed at the Covington drill meet on March 31, 2007. They competed in seven events against Army, Navy, and Marine units. The team came home with many accomplishments. They placed third in armed exhibition; second in color guard and armed basic drill; they received first place trophies in unarmed regulation, unarmed exhibition, and personnel inspection. They were also the first place over all winners for the entire drill meet. (Picture b)
