Mattie Lee Lankford Anderson

Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the New Palestine Cemetery for Mattie Lee Lankford Anderson, 99, of Picayune who passed away Monday, April 23, 2007 in Slidell, La.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune.

The Rev. Ken Walters will officiate at the service.

A native of Livonia, Ga., she was an associate at Graves Store and a member of the First Baptist Church of Picayune.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry N. Anderson and one son, David Henry Anderson.

Survivors include: three nephews, Stuart Lankford of Florence, Miss., James Lankford of San Antonio, Texas, and Dr. David Anderson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two nieces, Betty Graves Brown of New Orleans, La. and Mary Ruth Lankford Howard of Bay St. Louis, Miss.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Picayune or the Crosby Arboretum.
