Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Kathryn Bernice Griffith Barrett, 94, of Picayune, who passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 in Hattiesburg.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune.

The Rev. Hugh Griffith will officiate at the service.

A native of Prentiss, Miss., she was homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jay Howard Barrett.

Survivors include: her children: Howard Austin and Rosie Barrett, Sr. of Picayune, Larry and Katherine Barrett Albritton of Picayune; her grandchildren: Alisa Albritton Adams, Senator Sidney Albritton, Leslie Albritton, Alana Albritton, Austin Barrett Jr., and Mamie Barrett; five great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren; five step great-great grandchildren; her brothers: Mims Griffith of Pentiss, and Lamont Griffith of Clinton; her sisters: Carolyn Taylor of Columbia, and Francis Robinson of Tupelo.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 from 9-11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
