Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10 a.m. for Jerry Wayne Poupart, III, 14, of Picayune who passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Picayune.
Burial was held in the White Chapel Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.
Bro. Oren Spence officiated at the service, and was assisted by Bro. Brian Williams.
A native of Covington, La., he was a student and a member of the Lee’s Chapel #2 and New Bethel. Trey loved the outdoors and like to do just about everything from hunting and fishing to woodworking with his grandfather and operating heavy equipment. He also enjoyed music, art and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Claudette Poupart and cousin, Terry Davis.
Survivors include: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry W. Poupart, Jr., Picayune; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Thompson of Mandeville, La. and Mr. Jerry Poupart, Sr. of Picayune; aunts and uncles, David and Lisa Thompson, Joe and Deborah Davis, Raymond and Cindy Poupart and Michael and Tammy Poupart; cousins, Logan, Camren and Brenna Thompson; Faith Davis, Josh and Mary Poupart, Desire, Caleb and Michael Poupart.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 23, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
