A suspect in the armed robbery at Logan’s One Stop in Nicholson has been arrested.

According to a press release from the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, the robbery occurred Wednesday night around 9:30. The release states Michael J. McCormick, 19, of 131-B Daisy Lane, Nicholson, entered the store acting as if he was going to make a purchase. He then proceeded to give a note to the cashier stating that he was armed and demanded cash.

Maj. Eric Rocker of the Sheriff’s Department said that McCormick never actually pulled out a weapon, but just that the note said he was armed.
