Picayune On Stage announces their second production of 2007, “D.K. Molar, the Devious Dentist or There’s Gold in Them Thar Teeth!” a melodrama by Billy St. John. You know what a melodrama is, don’t you? It’s an exaggerated story complete with villains, a hero and a heroine — and the audience is encouraged to boo, hiss and cheer them along. Co-directed by Donna Aguilard and Rebecca Barnes, the performance dates will be three consecutive weekends in April — 13, 14, and 15; 20, 21, and 22; and the 27, 28 and 29.

Auditions will be held on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at their new theatre location of 322 W. Canal St. The cast calls for six characters, four women and two men, of various ages (17 and up).
