Lee Joseph Harvey, age 81, of Picayune died Friday, January 12, 2007. A memorial service was held on Monday, January 15, 2007 under the direction of Bro. Danny Johnson of Picayune Funeral Home and Pastor Stan Layton of First Presbyterian Church of Picayune leading the service.

Mr. Harvey was a Baptist and a retired U.S. Merchant Marine. He also served in the U.S. Army, 1st Infantry from 1944-1945. He was a member of the Picayune D.A.V. and the Masons.

He is survived by one son, Craig Joseph Harvey of Picayune, MS; one daughter, Betty Joann Harvey Carroll of Carriere, MS; two sisters, Martine Minton of Picayune, MS and Dorothy Mizell of Gulfport, MS; and four grandchildren, Craig Joseph Harvey, Jr., Jessica Harvey, and Kelly Smith all of Picayune, MS and Scott Smith of Carriere, MS; and one great grandson, Trey Smith of Carriere, MS.

Picayune Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
