The Pearl River County Crime Stoppers need the help of county residents to catch a couple involved in a robbery at a convenience store.
According to a report from Crime Stoppers the incident took place on Sept. 27, 2006 where a white male and his female accomplice stole a donation jar off the counter of the Country Store in Carriere.
The male suspect is described to be in his mid to late 30’s with a medium build, of medium height and almost shoulder length hair that was thinning a little on the forehead. The female suspect was described to be a heavy set white female with long hair who was carrying an infant child in a car seat.
Once the pair entered the Country Store in Carriere the female distracted the clerk in the rear of the store while the male stayed near the front door with the child, the report states.
While the clerk was distracted the male left the child on the floor in the car seat to steal a donation jar off the counter, which was collecting for a save-a-life charity. The male then took the jar to the van, which was tan in color. The male came back in to the store before both subjects left in the van.
