A bouncer remains hospitalized after being shot in the face late Monday by a patron he was escorting out of Club 49, authorities said.
Eric Paul Wolfe was in stable but guarded condition Tuesday after undergoing surgery at a Jackson hospital, said Harrison County Sheriff George H. Payne Jr.
Jerry Travis Sandy, 30, of Saucier, was charged with aggravated-assault in the shooting. He was being held without bond at the county jail. Sandy was arrested at the lounge.
At about 11 p.m. Monday night, Sandy had been drinking and was asked to leave the club, Payne said. An argument followed between the two men.
Investigators recovered a small-caliber handgun at the scene. Sandy was apprehended at the club.
