Hello friends.
My name is Kenny Mitchell, and I am a Democratic candidate for Sheriff of Pearl River County in this year’s elections.
Let me take this opportunity to ask for your vote and support. I do, however, want to meet you face to face. People that I am talking to are telling me that we need change: well here is your chance.
Change comes by voting. I know what I can offer as sheriff, but I would like to hear from you. I can be reached at home at 601-798-5219 or by E-mail at: kennethrmitchell@bellsouth.net.
I am 54 years old and have been a resident of Pearl River County for 54 years. I have been married to the same wonderful woman for almost 32 years and we have two children and four grandchildren.
My public service career started in 1977 as a reserve police officer with the Picayune Police department. I served one year full time as a deputy in ’92 and ’93. I served as a constable of the Southeast District of Pearl River County from 1996 until 2000, and I also worked part time for the present administration for approximately two years.
I have worked in the medical field for 21 years as an EMT, for the Picayune Fire Department from 1979-1983 and as a respiratory therapist from 1984 to the present.
Lack of space here does not allow me to say all that I want to say, so I want to meet you, feel free to contact me. I was taught, at a young age, to always tell the truth and you will never have to remember what you said. My mother taught me to treat other people like I would want to be treated, and Jesus teaches us, “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”
Thank you for this opportunity and may God bless Pearl River County.
