Private graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 11, at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi for Merrill P. True, 91, of Nicholson, who died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, in Picayune.

The Rev. Father Paddy Mockler of Our Lady of Fatima Church officiated at the service. Burial was in Southern Memorial Park.

A native of Mississippi City, he was a retired appraiser with New Orleans Homestead, and a member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Sports Hall of Fame.

Survivors include a son, Merrill A. True of Galveston, Texas.
