A Forrest County Circuit Court judge revoked a Dixie man’s suspended sentence for forgery after allegations surfaced that he tried to hire a hit man to murder a Petal couple.

Virgil Breedan Jr., 56, was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday. The judge ruled that allegations that he solicited an undercover sheriff’s deputy to murder Frank and Jerrine Wilson of Petal invalidated his July plea agreement. Authorities say Breeden allegedly conspired with an undercover agent to have the couple murdered in their own home and make it look like a robbery.

Breeden has worked as a contractor in the Hattiesburg area for the past 10 years.

Breedan’s plea agreement was conditioned on good behavior and his participation in the community service program.
