The Picayune Police Officers Association is sponsoring the performance of a southern gospel group on Friday.

The program is set for the Picayune School Auditorium and will begin at 7 p.m. featuring The Inspirations. Tickets in advance will cost $10 or $12 at the door, said Monica Jacobsen with the Picayune Police Department. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.

Police Chief Jim Luke is scheduled to the be the master of ceremonies.

There will be a live on air interview with Luke and the members of The Inspirations on WRJW, 1320 AM at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Listeners will have the opportunity to call in with questions and to learn about the history of The Inspirations.
