A bond revocation hearing for DeAnna Dominski of Brandon, accused of illegally obtaining flu vaccines, has been rescheduled for Thursday.

The hearing had been set for Tuesday in Rankin County Circuit Court.

Dominski, 36, was arrested last month on three counts of felony false pretense after she allegedly sold the flu shots to Rankin County residents. She was released on a $30,000 bond.

The Rankin Sheriff’s Department filed a motion last week to revoke Dominski’s bond after learning of a prior prescription drug charge against her.

District Attorney David Clark said Tuesday he had asked for the hearing to be rescheduled because he needed more time to work with the defendant’s attorney.

Dominski’s attorney, Jim Kelly would not comment.

Dominski was accused earlier last year of committing fraud by acquiring or attempting to acquire the drug Hydrocodone or Lortab.

According to circuit court records, Dominski entered into a pretrial intervention program under conditions that she break no further state or federal laws, avoid alcohol and drugs, enroll and complete counseling if needed and pay about $2,200 in program costs.

“The public was not in danger,” she told The Clarion-Ledger newspaper following the latest charges. “The vaccines were properly handled. It was refrigerated and stored correctly. I would not put the public in danger.”

Dominski said she is a certified medical assistant and was trained to give shots.

Jackson television station WLBT reported last month that it was told by authorities that Dominski allegedly forged a doctor’s signature to obtain the vaccine.

Dominski could not be reached for comment.
