Water safe to drink, water not safe to drink
The boil water notice by the City of Picayune for the Westchester Subdivision was lifted on Dec. 15, according to a release from the City of Picayune Water and Waste Water Treatment Division.
However, Center Water in the county has issued a boil water notice for customers in the Progress area east of the Wolf River, according to a release from James Dossett with Center Water Association. Dossett said in the release that a notice lifting the boil water notice will be issued when sample tests indicate the water is again safe to drink.
