Donald Reese Jordan, 44, of Sweet Gum Avenue, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a crime that carries a fine of up to $1 million and 30 years in prison.
Jordan was taken to the Jackson County jail to await an appearance before a judge.
The Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County said in a news release that it received the tip late Wednesday and seized a package addressed to Jordan’s home, containing 40 pounds of marijuana. They executed a “controlled delivery” to the home Friday.
While executing a search warrant at the home, officers found more marijuana, drug paraphernalia and items that led them to believe pot had been delivered before.
As the officers continued to uncover evidence, the same parcel carrier brought another package containing 40 more pounds of marijuana.
