Herman O. ‘Jack’ Williams

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Old Palestine Landmark Missionary Baptist Church for Herman O. “Jack” Williams, 87, of Nicholson, who died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in Hattiesburg.

Elder Donnie Barber officiates at the service. Burial is in Old Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Logtown, he was a supervisor at Crosby Chemical and a member of Old Palestine Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lavonne Williams of Nicholson; two sons, Jackie Williams of Lumberton and Jimmie Williams of Ringgold, Ga.; two daughters, Ella Green of Amory and Becky Barber of Nicholson; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec., 10, at the funeral home, and 1-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at the church.
