Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Carriere Baptist Cemetery for Adah Faye Chavez, 62, of Carriere, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006.

The Rev. William Gary Smith officiates at the service. Burial is in Carriere Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Pontiac, Mich., she was a nurse.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Favre of Carriere; a son, Charles Favre of Carriere; two sisters, Jeanette Shedd of Picayune and Midge Ayers of New Mexico; a brother, Carl Shafer of California, and six grandchildren.
