Silver Needle Quilters to aid Senior Center
The Silver Needle Quilters meets every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at the Picayune Senior Center to teach and learn quilting from start to finish. Last month the group made 27 lap, baby, and doll quilts to sale. A queen size “Churn Dash” Christmas quilt was made by the members to be raffled off December 9, 2006. Tickets for the Christmas quilt are $1 each or 6 for $5 and can be purchased at the Senior Center on Shag Patch Road behind Wal Mart. All proceeds go to the Picayune Senior Center.
