A Biloxi firm has been awarded a $19 million contract to build a new emergency operation center at John C. Stennis Space Center near here, NASA said Friday.

NASA said the two-year contract went to Starks Contracting Co. Inc.

The 71,000-square-foot facility will house the Stennis fire department, security office and medical clinic.
